Smartphone Photography Workshop - Hadrian's Wall

This workshops is both practical and educational suitable for all levels and no prior knowledge of photography. Photographer Kit Haigh will teach you the fundamentals of photography while focusing on the unique features that smartphones offer. The workshop will take place in The Threshing Barn located right on the Hadrian's Wall National Trail. Once you have grasped the fundamentals you can explore the landscape before coming back to the barn for a coffee and a basic lesson in editing to bring your photos to life using the best free editing apps available.

What you’ll learn:

• The kit: your camera phone, the best settings, how and when to use them

• The light: how light will make or break your images

• The composition: How to use composition to improve your photos

• The edit: Which apps to download and how to use them

• The details: files sizes and formats

Please bring your mobile phone, phone charger and wear sturdy shoes or boots if you decide to go for a walk.

This is a half day workshop for ages 18+. The workshop is limited to 8 people.

Workshop length: Approx 2.5 hours including a break.
